Can I realistically earn USD 700/month building simple AI chatbots for small businesses on weekends only?

Hi everyone,

I live in Bangladesh and I was thinking of starting a side hustle where I work only on Fridays and Saturdays, helping small businesses in the USA set up and train simple AI chatbots for their websites.

The goal is to eventually earn around USD 700 per month consistently. Once I can reliably make that amount, I plan to leave my current job, which is worsening my cervical spondylosis.

I wanted to ask a few things:

  1. Is it realistic to earn this much while working only two days a week?

  2. How would you suggest finding customers for this kind of service?

  3. What business model would you recommend for something like this?

  4. My degrees are in Economics and MBA, not Computer Science. Would that be a problem? I’m wondering whether potential customers would trust someone without a CS background to set up AI chatbots.

Would really appreciate any honest advice or guidance from people who have experience in this area.

Edit: Clarified target market.

Need to earn USD 700/month online before the end of this year while working weekends only, before I lose my current job. What online business should I focus on building?

Hi everyone,

I am from Bangladesh. I currently work at a bank as a clerk. I leave home at 8am and usually return around 9:30pm, five days a week. Friday and Saturday are my only free days.

The work is worsening my cervical spondylosis, and I can no longer lift weights or do sports because of the pain and strain.

I want to build an income stream working only on weekends. Once I can steadily earn at least around USD 700/month, I will be able to leave this job. I need to reach that level before the end of this year, since USD 700 is roughly the minimum amount I need to support my family and stay afloat financially.

I also have some limitations:

  • The only realistic way for me to receive international payments is through Payoneer.
  • PayPal and Stripe are not available here.
  • Sending money abroad is also heavily restricted.

Another issue is that I thoroughly dislike banking work. It feels monotonous, repetitive, and extremely conventional. So ideally, I would prefer not to spend my weekends doing something similarly draining.

Initially, I thought about learning WordPress website building for small businesses in the USA. But lately, many people have been saying the market is shrinking because of AI website builders.

Given my situation and constraints, what would you realistically suggest I focus on?

Especially considering:

  • I can currently work only on Fridays and Saturdays.
  • I need something that can realistically grow to around USD 700/month before the end of this year.
  • I can only receive payments through Payoneer.

I would genuinely appreciate practical advice from people with experience.

Has anyone here managed to build a steady passive-ish income with WordPress?

Finding new website building work is difficult. Has anyone here managed to build a steady income source with WordPress that is passive-ish? Maybe through maintenance retainers, hosting, SEO, or something else?

What exactly do you do for clients on an ongoing basis to earn this passive-ish income?

Hi everyone,

I am a human rights activist from Bangladesh. My work has been featured in UN thematic reports as well as by international human rights organizations. I can share links if needed for credibility.

I need help designing a physical intrusion detection system, and I’m looking for practical, low-cost solutions.

1. Yard Camera:
I want something that can capture evidence if anyone comes into the house—whether to implant a covert surveillance device, tamper with electronics, or anything else.

I am considering a camera facing the yard, but:

  • It has to be air-gapped (I don’t want it connected to the internet) to prevent hacking risks.
  • Cameras here are often stolen or vandalized.
  • We have power outages (1–2 hours daily).
  • The system should make it difficult for an adversary to:
    • Steal or destroy the device or delete footage without being recorded
  • Ideally, I want clear evidence (e.g., face) even if they attempt to tamper or destroy the system.

2. Cabinet tamper detection:
I keep electronics, documents, and legal records in a cabinet in my bedroom.

I don’t want a visible camera in the room due to privacy (family members move around there), so I was thinking:

  • Maybe an air-gapped camera inside the cabinet
  • But that might only capture hands, and someone could still destroy the device, steal it or delete logs.

I need a way to:

  • Detect if the cabinet is opened or tampered with
  • Capture some form of evidence of who opened it.
  • Prevent easy deletion or destruction of logs

Constraints:

  • Must be low cost
  • Prefer locally available solutions
  • Importing products is very expensive here: 200 to 300% customs duties on Amazon products for example.
  • Cannot rely on internet/cloud systems

I’ve had some security incidents before, including hacking of devices so I do not trust software. I trust airgapped systems.

If needed, I’m open to discussing details via DM as well.

Thanks.

Hi everyone,

I’m a human rights activist based in Bangladesh. My work has been cited in UN thematic reports and shared by international human rights organizations. I can provide links for credibility via DM if needed.

I’m currently dealing with a serious concern: I suspect my phone may be compromised with spyware. Due to safety concerns, I can’t go into full details publicly.

I used SpyGuard on my Ubuntu laptop and captured network traffic of my Android mobile using a USB Wi-Fi adapter. I now have logs and .pcap files generated by SpyGuard. Link to SpyGuard app: https://github.com/SpyGuard

I understand that sharing raw packet captures with strangers is risky and not recommended. However, I’m in a situation where I really need help reviewing this data to identify whether there are signs of spyware or unusual exfiltration.

Is there anyone here who can help analyze the SpyGuard logs?

PS: I have read the rules.
Threat level: Highest. State level.
