I (20FTM) don’t believe trans women get periods

I’ve been on T for almost 4rs. I went on a long trip with some pretty insufferable people.

Had to share a hotel with a friend who I’ll call Bee. She’s 19 mtf. She was super cold the whole time and had the room at almost 30 fucking degrees while I had to sleep without a damn blanket since she’s allergic to the word compromise. Legit only let me jar the window for 20 mins. A few times I’ll admit when she started to snore I’d turn back the thermostat lmao.
Anyway. Throughout the 3 nights we had to share this room, sometimes Bee would wake up whining “bloody hell” or making these weird sounds. Refused any Advil/tylenol or whatever. Later when we met up with friends said her period started.

Bee is stealth so obviously I wouldn’t call her out on that being real or not. We’re not even too too close so I didn’t wanna ask any deeper about it. Ain’t my business until…. I could barely sleep due to her wanting the room HOT and then she wakes up almost shouting.

I had to go to the ER at 11 years old for having heavy periods. Had to take iron meds for a while. First started when I was fucking 9.

On our way back home, Bee drove me, I had a period for the first time in 2yrs. It was fucking awful. I had no idea that I was even bleeding until she was complaining I was stinking. No shit, you want it super fucking hot and won’t layer up (her AC also didn’t work) or let me have the window down. Thought it was just my BO (I wore deodorant and redid it multiple times a day I’m not gross lmao).

Until we stopped for gas. I went to piss. Blood all inside my boxers.
Suddenly her noises and grunting from her “period” stopped when mine started. She didn’t even carry pads on tampons on her (you’d think she would if she claims to have these). Thankfully this period of mine only lasted a couple days.

For all I know I could be wrong. I’m just confused. You take hrt at a specific dose at a specific time daily or weekly or whatever. You don’t have the uterine lining to shed…but you do have the pelvic floor and muscle..? Periods cause your hormones to go out of whack but if you’re on hrt they should be steady?? Idk. How do you have phantom pain from an organ you don’t even have?
I genuinely wanna know. I would post this on the main trans sub but feel like I’d get it taken down for hate or smth.

I don’t wanna feel like an asshole here but when trans women talk about periods it really irks me. I had to quit doing sports and other things I loved growing up due to the crippling pain it gave me. I felt like a freak for getting it so young too. HRT genuinely saved my life from stopping mine (almost) entirely.

basically pls don’t larp peoples actual pain 😭
