Replacing pressure tank questions

My pressure tank started leaking out of a rust spot in the back.

I bought a replacement tank, 20g. Im the homeowner and reasonably confident I can replace it myself. But my main question is regarding the connections, Ive not worked with brass much. My tank did not come with a new connection kit.

Would you all recommend i replace the existing connections and pressure switch?

Any advice/info appreciated. My brother use to be a plumber but doesn’t have a lot of free time. He is however able to FaceTime me while I do this job, and my main goal is to have all the supplies I need when I start. I have a pipe wrench, adjustable wrench, Teflon tape, pipe dope, pvc glue and the purple stuff. I have tons of pvc and connectors. Just not sure about the brass fittings x
