Gillette Aristocrat Adjustable L4 1966
Just arrived in my collection: this splendid Gillette Slim Aristocrat Adjustable. Dated to the fourth quarter of 1966, it truly surprised me because I honestly believe this razor has never shaved a beard in its nearly 60 years of existence.
I bought it at a great price from a kind lady (clearly not an expert or razor collector) on a Spanish e-commerce site, and judging from the hastily taken photos in the listing, I would never have imagined ending up with this little gem, practically unused, in my hands.
The plating is completely intact, the mechanical parts work perfectly, and when I cleaned it after it arrived, I realized the razor is basically brand new. To my eyes, there are absolutely no signs of use.
I’m genuinely thrilled and can’t wait to give it what I assume will be its very first shave in almost 60 years!
