How long does it take to receive your La Marzocco order after placing it?

How long does it take to receive your order from La Marzocco and what does the process look like? I placed an order with them for a grinder and an espresso machine.

Bought a dosing cup. Pico comes with one. Keep it?

I made a rookie mistake and ordered a dosing cup separately ($45) before realizing the Pico grinder already comes with one. Now I'm stuck deciding whether to return it or keep both.

For context, my setup is a Pico + Linea Micra, no connectivity between the two. Is there any practical advantage to having a dedicated standalone dosing cup, or is the one bundled with the Pico good enough that I should just return the extra?

BT wedge distribution tool or a connected scale, if you had to pick just one, which would you choose and why?

I can’t justify buying both right now, so I’m trying to figure out which one is the better investment.

I just ordered my first-ever espresso setup and would love some advice!

My order:

  • Linea Micra (stainless steel)
  • Pico (black)
  • Counter knockbox (walnut)
  • Corner tamping mat
  • Dosing cup
  • BT wedge distribution tool (walnut)

A few questions:

  • Is a distribution tool actually necessary, or is it overkill for a beginner?
  • Does a dosing cup make a noticeable difference in workflow?
  • I have a Hario Polaris scale, has anyone used it with a Linea Micra? I'm worried it won't fit underneath.
  • Is the connected scale worth it? I'm considering returning the distribution tool and putting that money toward it instead.

Thanks in advance!

Finally pulling the trigger on a Micra in July and I've gone back and forth on this way too many times. Everything else is decided, it's literally just the finish holding me up.

I'm really feeling the polished stainless. I love how it looks like a mirror, feels like something you'd see in an actual espresso bar.

But I keep second-guessing myself because I keep reading that scratches are basically inevitable with daily use. How bad does it actually get over time? Like day-to-day wiping, touching it, cleaning around it. Does it start looking rough after a year or two or is it manageable? And fingerprints, the island means people are touching it from every angle so is it a constant wipe down situation? Also has anyone actually polished out scratches on theirs, does it work or is that just something people say?

I get that brushed is probably the smarter choice because the grain hides everything naturally. But I just don't like the look of it as much and at this price point I want to actually love how it looks.

For those who have the polished SS, now that brushed stainless is also an option would you have gone brushed instead? And is the brushed just a new skin or does it actually come with any differences under the hood?
