Any speedrunners of BotW find casual runs of TotK to be underwhelming?

I still do new runs of Breath of the Wild, and get most of my enjoyment from speedrun techniques to optimize travel, pioneering new paths and enjoying the visuals of flying across the map

Unfortunately when I fired up its sequel, I found being grounded initially to be frustrating and when I got to the point of getting “aerial” a few hours in, realized traveling by bullet time bounce and wind bomb in Breath to be way more satisfying and obviously faster. Visually, not much is different. I have picked up Tears since the first day I tried to play

Anyone run into a similar issue? Are other aspects of Tears satisfying enough to make up for the optimization of the main character of Breath (the map) that speedrunning techniques offer?

Millennial seeking modern recs based on my comfort games

I want to buy a modern system after exhausting games that were released from 2002-2017.

My favorite oldies:

- KOTOR 1 & 2

- Mass Effect 2

- Zelda: Breath of the Wild (now, mostly breaking the physics engine for casual speedrunning)

- Assassin’s Creed Odyssey

- Pokémon Gen 1-3

The theme seems to be open world with an option for linear story-telling and elements of or actual RPG. Fun physics is a plus!

Do you hurt for the person you dumped?

It’s been 6 months, technically, since I broke up with her. We were together for 2 years when it ended and lived together for 4 months after the breakup. I still hurt for her. I don’t yearn for her like I used to, but I think about what she must feel now

I live in the house I bought for us. We did so much to make this place OURS (painting, yard work, renovating), and a lot of what I feel is guilt that I still live here and she doesn’t. But more than anything, I hurt that I can’t be the one to soothe her anymore. To tell her that it’ll be ok, that I’ll help her overcome her fears. I am the cause of those fears now. The fear that she’ll lose the support that she’s always yearned for ever since her parents gave her up to her grandparents and her mother told her she’d never find love

If she hadn’t been so cruel to me, if she hadn’t let the pain she suffered as a child translate to how she treated me, maybe I could go back and try again. But I just don’t trust that she’ll change, and she knows it

She’s a strong person, but I know she hurts and wishes things were different. That we could try again

Do you ever hurt for the person that you reasonably dumped?
