2025/2026 BMW X1 M Sport Package or MB GLC300 AMG Line Package

I currently drive a 2020 Range Rover Evoque P250 S and honestly still love the way it drives. The biggest things I love are:

smooth/planted ride

secure feeling

compact size

upscale interior

still somewhat “zippy”

Unfortunately I’ve started having intermittent electrical issues (random black screens, occasional starting/electrical weirdness) and the dealership hasn’t been able to fully diagnose it, so I’m debating trading it in before it potentially becomes a bigger issue.

I’ve test driven:
2026 BMW X1 xDrive28i M Sport

2026 Audi Q3

2026 Mercedes GLC300 AMG Line

My thoughts:
X1: loved the way it looked. beautiful interior and tech, but the driving felt very jerky. this could be just because i’m used to the smoothness of my RR

Q3: really liked the size and how it drove, but interior didn’t feel luxury enough, pretty much eliminated

GLC300 AMG Line: loved the smooth drive and interior, however significantly more expensive than x1 and slightly less zippy

Nothing has fully matched the smooth/planted feeling of my Evoque yet

I also briefly looked at:
Audi Q5 (felt a little bigger than I wanted)

I have a 2020 Range Rover Evoque P250 S with ~47k miles and I’ve been having an intermittent starting issue that the dealership hasn’t been able to properly diagnose.

What happens:
When I press the brake and push start, the lights come on for a second and then everything goes completely black
The car doesn’t start on the first attempt
If I take my foot off the brake and try again, it usually starts normally (never had to jump start, the worst time it started on the 4th attempt)

When it happens:
It’s inconsistent/random
Sometimes after the car has been sitting, but also happens after short errands (like 30–60 min)
Not just cold starts

Other details:
I saw a “battery low, start engine immediately” message once, but the battery tested fine
Battery was replaced about a year ago
Dealership kept the car for multiple days, including overnight, and couldn’t replicate the issue
Last visit they fixed an unrelated minor engine leak, but the starting issue still happens

It’s currently back at the dealership for about 3 days now, haven’t heard anything but I’m sort of expecting them to say they couldn’t replicate the issue again. Cut my losses from here? Is this an issue anyone else has experienced?
