High W2 earners who have crossed over?

I make about $400-500k a year at my W2 job. The job itself is very flexible and I work 20-30 hours a week. I could also put someone underneath me and work less for a small pay cut.

I'm interested in venturing into franchising something. I'm not looking to replace my income anytime in the near future, but I really like the idea of scaling something to multiple units over 5-10 years that eventually turns into a cash cow.

Anyone in a similar situation who has done this successfully? If so, what was your experience like?

Took my marathon from 4:20 down to 2:58 over 22 months.

Busted my ass to get here. Lost 26 pounds to do it. Etc.

I want to coast for a few months but I don’t want to lose any fitness, and especially speed.

My training in this last block peaked around 75 MPW over 7 days. 1 long run, 1 threshold/tempo, 1 speed/interval, and 4 easy runs.

What are the folks out there doing post-marathon to maintain the fitness they’ve built during their marathon block?

Curious on everyone’s thoughts.

I will be completing a half marathon 4 months prior to my first Hyrox and completing a marathon about 2 months prior to my first Hyrox.

My weekly mileage will peak at about 70 miles for the marathon.

So coming out of the marathon should I shoot to keep my weekly mileage that high or is it overkill?

I was thinking maybe back it down to 40-50 miles per week post-marathon and use that extra time to really hammer in more Hyrox specific training.

I do want to highlight that I’ll be incorporating Hyrox specific training into my half marathon/marathon training block already but backing down from 70 miles per week to 40-50 miles per week post-marathon would give me more time/training sessions in that final two months to really focus on Hyrox specific training movements.
