I posted a link a couple of days ago with some music video edits and german trailer shows I did. Just wanted to let you know that I made another one with an emphasis on electronic music and Interstella 5555 (the Daft Punk Anime) at the end, which technically came out in 2003, but who cares, it's awesome. It feels like right now anyone who works for me falls asleep once per day during work hours.

Please let me buy a coffee machine so when they feel tired they just drink a coffee. It gets kind of exhausting to run through the store and look for the Zs above the vhs racks.

So, the TV channels ingame inspired me to start editing again and I thought I share the videos with anyone who's interested in them :)

First I just wanted to make one long edit with 80s music videos. Shortly after followed the 90s edit. But then I thought "Why not make genre specific edits?" so I made the 5 hour (mostly) Metal edit. But then I thought "there are still so many good Rap songs from that era I could edit together" and indeed it was so hard to stop adding songs to the playlist that I ended up splitting it into two edits.

I just mention this in case you're wondering at one point "why is this song in this edit and not the 80s edit" or something like that. And of course it's always a matter of taste, so some might enjoy my track choice while others maybe don't. You can just skip through the video and see if you like or before you download it.

Unfortunately I didn't check for the exact format before doing all that (I know, not very smart 😅), so I just exported everything in 4:3 aspect ratio. But it mostly works fine except for the occasional title cut off at the top or bottom, but it didn't bother me so far. I tried to adjust the sound that everything is balanced at the same volume and loud enough for the store and I'd say it works for the most time, sometimes of course the quality of the source video has a big influence on it, but I think those bad tape recordings kind of fit again into the game environment :D

As you see by the file names I keep switching the music video edits on my public channel from session to session, but you do as you wish :)

And for all native german speakers there are also 2 edits with german trailers, commercials and VHS company logos, each video almost 3 hours long.

Just a heads up for the trailers, there is a little nudity in both videos that I didn't catch during editing. That's why I also put the 18+ flair on this post.

As the files are really big I uploaded them to my cloud storage from my internet provider. The 6 music video edits alone are 24 GB, but it's also around 24 hours of music altogether, so I guess that's fine, at least it works 🤷🏻‍♂️
