Honestly nothing beats the excitement of a fish exploding on a topwater lure.

Recently started targeting snakehead in Kerala canals using frogs and small topwater lures, and the strikes are insanely aggressive compared to a lot of other fishing I’ve done.

Curious what everyone’s favorite topwater species is?

Using a lightweight setup with small topwater lures for snakehead and other aggressive fish. Even smaller fish feel super fun on ultralight gear compared to heavier setups.

Still experimenting with different lure colors and retrieval speeds in shallow weedy areas. Really enjoying the challenge so far.
