What is going on with TU’s listed inseam sizes?

I just received an order of six or seven pair of jeans. Every single pair of bootcut jeans has been listed incorrectly (and comprised the bulk of my order). 🤬 The most egregious issue is with a pair of WHBM beaded jeans. The images in the listing left out the STAMPED notation on the interior waistband that’s literally right next to the WHBM stamp that *clearly* shows they’re a LONG. No where in the listing is that stated, and the listed inseam of 31.5 inches is an inseam I’ve always purchased to wear with heels. These have to be a 34+ inches inseam (I haven’t measured them yet, but damn, they’re l-o-n-g!) The listing didn’t include pics of the mannequin’s measurements or the marked up image illustrating the waist and inseam measurements that are usually included in a listing, so I purchased based on the listing info (highlighted) that TU provided. The other bootcut jeans appear to all be standard length (i.e., not short, not long) according to the info on the jean’s tags themselves, and also have similar inseam length designations (from 29.75 to 31.25 inches) in their respective listing info, and they’re all far too long, too.

How are 70% of these measurements (based on just my order of these jeans) so off? Has something changed in the denim industry that’s altered the way we measure inseam and length? Or is TU doing something specific as far as measuring goes that I should be aware of? According to the listing info, these should all fit, but nope.

I’m going to have to have these altered or return them (and some of them are so unique, I really don’t want to return them), but I definitely need to figure this out before I buy anymore jeans or pants!

(FWIW, I’m only blaming TU for the error-by-omission on the WHBM jeans. That listing absolutely should have included that they were a long and I never would have purchased them. The others, I’m not so sure about. Some of the jeans I ordered are perfectly fine and don’t need to be altered, but the others, despite being in an inseam range that I’d typically order if purchasing NWT from a retailer, are still waaaaay too long. So maybe it’s TU, or maybe it’s me?)

Insight appreciated to help me avoid this. I live in a very rural area and have to commute an hour each way to get to a tailor who specializes in jeans alterations, so I’d love to avoid this in the future!

What are the highest payoff non-injectable DIY aesthetics things you’ve taught yourself?

Life dealt me an epic needle aversion, which got me curious about what everyone’s most rewarding, money saving, DIY-aesthetic upkeep or procedural beauty things you’ve taught yourself? Bonus points if you share tutorials, tips, or sources. I thought we might be able to inspire or help others with a thread to scroll through for new ideas.

Mine are likely very vanilla in here: at home chemical peels (TCA, glycolic, mandellic, Fusion, lactic, etc), gel polish mani, lash and brow tinting, lash clusters, very shallow micro needling with a pen (oddly, my needle aversion is fine with this. I’m a complicated person. 😂)

YOUR TURN, GO!

My first attempt: How’d I do (?) and a question or two (Lilac St)

I’ve watched several tutorials many times over the past 6-8 weeks, and finally took the plunge today. I feel like I could benefit from a higher magnification mirror (I think I’m using a 10X now)? I think that my placement could be more precise, but I did as well as I could with as close (or not) as I could actually see. How did I do? Is it at least passable enough to go out in public with them on, or should I remove them, clean them, and aim for better? (These are Lilac St. “Dawn” in 10 mm). I used their Eternal Bond in clear.

My questions:

🔴 Any tips for applying these better on your non-dominant hand side? I was fine until I got to the two last inner clusters (on the right as you view the photo), and then my nose was in the way (it’s not a big nose, either! 😂) Any advice? I think this is going to result in the lifting of the very inside edge of that last cluster closest to my nose as I can vaguely see that it’s not attached as closely to my waterline as my other lashes.

🔴All of the tutorials I’ve watched show the clusters kind of grabbing and sticking beautifully as soon as they’re placed (some of them even show the person pulling on the clusters gently to demonstrate how well attached they are). This wasn’t my experience. I washed and primed my lashes, allowing plenty of drying time. I applied the Eternal Bond to the bottom 1/4 of my lash, closest to my waterline, then had to grab my cluster, apply EB to the spine of the cluster, and attempted to place them. I was conservative with the bonder. I still had some slippage, despite the bonder having plenty of time to be tacky.

🔴 How do you successfully apply your foundation, eye shadow, liner, and setting powder?

🔴 Can anyone give some feedback on the Lilac St Nanosoft lash clusters? I’m hoping for a *little* more natural look, as my goal is to add a tiny bit of length and more definition so that I can skip mascara, and I don’t necessarily want to look like I’m wearing lashes. I dye my lashes every other week, but my hair is light and that’s just not enough - I usually wear mascara, too, but I’d love to not have to bother with mascara most days (but still feel polished and put together).

🔴 Will my Latisse interfere with the Eternal Bond adhesive? It’s never felt oily or sticky in all the 15+ years I’ve used it, but I have no experience with lash clusters and only tried extensions once for a few months.

If you’ve made it this far, THANK YOU for your time, I know I have a few questions and I appreciate your insight!

This is the second time I’ve run into this (the first time I gave up!) I went to log my injection tonight and the app won’t let me save it because technically, my vial should only have 5 mgs in it, (my dose is 7.5 mgs). However, there was plenty remaining in my vial for my complete dose, and looks like there will be enough overfill to cover next week’s dose, too. How do I override this? (Call me crazy, but I’d like to track how much overfill is in each vial if I’m able to).

I can’t log my injection without telling the app where the remainder of the tirz is coming from because it thinks there’s a finite 72 mgs in each vial, but I don’t need a second vial with all of the overfill, so…?

I’ve looked. I can’t find a way to do this? I’d like to be able to pull up just jeans, or jackets, skirts, etc. I see now (too late?) that I could have created collections for these, but it seems that logically, I should be able to just do a simple search and pull up these things in my favorites. What am I missing?

Scrolling through TU today while I have my coffee, and came across two different listings with tags from other resale sites listed as “Tags Attached”.

Technically, sure. Tags *are* attached, just not in the NWT way that *I* think of. I sincerely wish items with re-sale tags wouldn’t get that designation - anyone else? Or is it just me? 😂
