Wanted to recreate the introduction of Aragorn in a detolf for a while now but just could not figure out how to do it in a detolf. Took 3 weeks and this is the end result and my visual representation of the book. Tavern carved with XPS and it was my first time using this material. Fireplace, table and bench designed and 3D printed LEDs programmed to give of candle flickering effect and smoldering effect for the fireplace. Added a backlight to recreate the moonlit luminescence. Entire thing has been painted with 4 colours, brown, white, black and green. Just mixed in different proportions for different shades. Fun project. More of my work here....
