Unfinished Backyard Style - Toronto

Giving away 15% off for the first 5 runners for our Toronto endurance race this September

I’m one of the organizers behind UnfinishedSeries.ca. We built this event because we wanted something different from the typical race experience. I noticed there is rarely a backyard ultra style race within a city easily accessible by transit and thought it would be cool to create a safe environment for people to test their limits. Run the furthest they ever have. I also wanted to show that if you pick a slow pace and don’t worry about overall speed you can run 1,000x further and safer. I’m hoping that this race will take the fear away from running half or full marathons or even show people an ultra distance isn’t as scary as it sounds (I hear often people say it’s basically just an eating contest).

The event is happening Sept. 12 in the Beaches area of Toronto and includes:

  1. 6.7km Sunshine Run (for those that just want to come out for a leisurely morning run along the water)
  2. Endurance events (solo and teams - turn the clock completely off)
  3. Backyard-style ultra (every hour on the hour, fastest last lap wins)

Once 5 people use it, it’s done. ‘RUNTO15’

If anyone has questions about the course, format, training, or the event itself, happy to answer them here too. My goal is to just make this a great day for everyone so I’d like to hear comments and suggestions now so I have time to refine.

We will have more announcements about charity partners, sponsors and swag so please subscribe to our mailing list or Instagram: Unfinished.Run

Cheers!

This is a race I’m personally hosting Sept 12th in the Toronto Beaches. It’s my first race ever and it’s a new style with community run, backyard ultra style and fastest lap finish components and recovery zone. Curious if this is of any interest to the toronto area runners. Hit me up with any questions you might have. Trying to make this the best possible day. Also any advice is kindly appreciated. If you don’t like something be kind I’m sensitive. lol
