I found my 28yo rosin!

So good to not be part of the recent rosin shortage!

I’ve had this Kolstein rosin since I was 14, and only stopped using it a few years ago when I slowed down my playing significantly. It’s actually still good!

• Pic 1 is the Mighty Mighty Bosstones covered in orange glitter nail polish;

• Pic 2 is a random illustration from the defunct Reluctant Hero magazine coloured by my baby brother;

• Pic 3 is my own illustration (based on the Y2K “alter ego” cartoon style, ex. Prözzak);

•Pic 4 of the bottom is just a name collage with olive green nail polish.

I’ve often thought of what could replace a wheel on a bass. I know it’s been discussed at length throughout history, and I think it was Sankey who inspired my teacher to ride her bicycle with her bass on her back, but I live in a snowy region. Wagons and tow-alongs exist, too.

I always wondered about making a snow transport system for a bass. Possibly an endpin attachment with two toboggan blades parallel (for stability), and maybe a function like a manual four-wheel drive to drop two suspended speed-skating blades to cross ice.

You’d want to wear your own boot spikes or crampons when you’re transporting, or you’re both gonna do a Paul Simon.

What would you want in your own terrain/area to transport your bass without a vehicle?

So I’m 41, genderqueer, and never really got into makeup apart from some light foundation, blush, mascara, etc.

I did more “alt” makeup in my teens (iykyk), so of course I had the smudged watermark eyeliner, but that was the style. I have no idea how to do modern makeup looks, and now that I’n older, they don’t suit me.

I appreciate the whole “clean girl” all-over colour thing. It suits me, too. But I’m clueless about makeup except how to apply it without looking too clumsy. It’s because I’m not great at it that I feel funny doing a bolder look.

But I’m not sure how to achieve the most basic, bare-minumum face that would balance - does that make sense? If I put on some tinted moisturizer and do nothing else, would my face look half-assed? Should I at least do some mascara?

I seriously don’t want to spend any more time on my face than I have to. I wash, tone, and moisturize, and I use a vitamin C serum a few times a week for some hyperpigmentation on my upper lip. I just want to look a little more alive.

I’ve included a pretty bad selfie just so you can see how I look candidly. Any advice would help! Thank you!
