she was assembled and painted and getting ready for Aztecs when she flew off the workbench and fell to the concrete floor. even with brass rods reinforcing it was catastrophic damage. this required the entire model to be pried apart.

I reinforced the neck with styrene and epoxy then started refining the lighting and electronics. I didn't like the light distribution and amp draws so I changed out the interior lights with less dense strips, added a mist coating of white inside, replaced a number of 1.8mm LEDs that were causing fit issues. with nano size ships, added two dimmer circuits to control nag lights and interior, added a locking avionics plug for the mount, 3d printed diffusers for the nacelles, added flickering lights for bussards and refined the LCARS base.

it's been an absolute bear to reassemble but I'm going slow. I'll need to tip the rod back 10 degrees to take some torsion off the connector although it seems robust. I reinforced the plastic where it connects. but it still flexes a little. tilting so the nose is up should allow it to settle over time.

I'll update with more pictures. this thing is going to break me!

I've had vintage instruments before but nothing this old or special. it looked like it was in its case since 1955. it had one small cosmetic blemish (belonged to the studio) other wise original

I brought my custom made Fishman equip tele but the producer was having none of that. we put it through a grammatico dumbly clone and it was magic.

There is something about this era of guitars that isn't placebo effect. i have Fishman Fluence pickups and they sound phenomenal but this thing was so clear, chiming (bridge pickup) yet not harsh. I used it to do some fattening tracks under an acoustic. just a bit of distortion.

you might not be able to hear it clearly unless you are using monitors or headphones

I see why people mortgage their children to obtain these. And remarkably it did not buzz. no clue how that worked. they all buzz 60 cycle. maybe good power conditioning?

other guitars were a 32 Martin, mid 20's mando, late 20's lap steel and a new Murphy Lab r9. 59 Les Paul repop. (about $8k - really impressive and I hate relics.) no Ai, no auto tune

my first original song about my mom and dad.

The city runs market days and is soliciting for musicians and bands. The pay is $0.00

They want acts for mid day June, July, August and I believe you bring your own pa.

For free. Literally everyone there is making money. The city boasts how they support music but this shows what they really think.

They allow busking (not my thing) but you have to buy a permit.

What a joke.
