I hope this is the right subreddit I’m not really into chrome products. I’ve never worked on one of these before. Sorry if it’s a stupid question

I copy it to root, eject, reboot, it says it updates for a split second but doesn’t show that it was updated. Is this a visual thing with the theme or what? Thanks
