Awkwardness between us... due to mutual attraction? Or disinterest on his part?

Matched with a guy a few weeks ago. Spoke to him for many hours before finally meeting. Similar interests, hobbies, goals, sense of humor, etc., etc. Conversation flowed naturally. However, when hanging out twice, there was a ton of nervous laughter between the two of us. It felt awkward, but in a good way? I was especially tongue-tied. Planning on seeing him again this weekend - will our irl connection ever get any better?

Afraid I insulted a guy by saying he was much better looking in person?

Matched with a guy on an app a few weeks ago. We had great chemistry texting/calling, so I was very much looking forward to meeting him. All despite the fact I wasn't overly attracted to his photos; I was more than willing to give him a shot.

Man. I felt like I'd been reversed catfished. He was SO much better looking irl. I actually became super nervous, awkward, and shy. Despite this, he asked to see me again.

We met up again, and it felt much less awkward, but still far from perfect. He said he had a great time after, but his communication slowed down, and I felt a shift in his energy.

For reasons separate from him, I deleted the app a few days ago. Before doing so, I messaged him (on the app, not text) saying I wasn't unmatching him, I just needed a mental break from the apps. Then made a joke that his pictures were the only thing worth staying for, but he was much more handsome irl, so I'd be okay.

He hasn't said a thing about it - so I'm now second-guessing myself. I did ask if we could get together next weekend, to which he agreed.

Do I mention this to him? Do I just ignore the message I sent? Reiterate that I do find him attractive?
