Sri Lanka Is Bleeding Billions Through Fraud and System Errors. Who Will Be Held Accountable?
Sri Lankans blame whom for this—politicians, public officials, weak systems, or the culture of zero accountability?
Fraud, cyber payment diversions, duplicate payments, and massive system errors across major institutions are not “small mistakes." These are failures that are costing the country billions while the ordinary citizen is asked to sacrifice, pay more taxes, and be patient in the name of development.
This is a luxury that a developing country cannot afford. As Sri Lankans, we should not make a habit of being incompetent, corrupt, or careless with public money.
We don’t want explanations. We need accountability, transparency, and consequences.
