Why I will end up quitting the gym

There's just too many decisions to make...what exercises I should do, how many, what weight do I use and when do I increase it etc.

I get to the gym and just don't know what to do. Anyone have the same issue?

Why is starting and committing to the gym so hard?

I have been thinking about this a lot recently as a struggling beginner and so I thought making a post on it and getting peoples thoughts would be a good idea. Why is starting and committing to the gym so hard? I have a few reasons I have thought of down below:

Decision fatigue - There are so many different programs out there and having to choose one when so many options are available is challenging.

Weight management - I find that having to constantly worry about weights and when to adjust them, how much to adjust them by and so on is so incredibly annoying.

Accountability - Having someone or something to hold you accountable can be a huge help early on when getting started.

Rhythm - Once you get into a rhythm, going to the gym consistently becomes much easier, but actually getting to that point can be quite tough.

I feel like motivation is talked about a lot, but this feels more like a systems problem than a motivation problem.

Curious to learn your thoughts on this and what you think the biggest barriers are!

Struggling startups

Question for founders:
If continuing became unsustainable, would you rather shut down quietly or transfer the project to someone else if possible, retaining a portion of equity in the process. If so, Why?

Working on a marketplace for burned-out founders who do not want to give up on their startups

Hi guys, just working on a platform where I connect founders who are burned-out but their projects have potential. Just wanted to get your thoughts on it, and see if their is interest. I put together a waitlist, feel free to check it out and post your feedback, thanks!

So I have been working on a project for weeks now. I got my MVP up and going, started dm'ing and pulling users from reddit, setup PostHog and observed behavior and I do not think my idea will be successful. But when do I quit? My product is basically this: It's called Dilemma, and its a webapp where when you have a problem you go to the site and post your problem -> get advice and then write what your going to do/actions you will take, set a return date -> return at that date and update the post on what happened.

Overtime, a database full of human decisions and their outcomes gets generated which would be able to provide huge value.

But alas, motivating people to come back is really really hard. The problem is people perceive it as a forum, not a decision engine...so they just continue to use Reddit. Furthermore, motivating people to come back and update people on what happened. The problem is that there is no incentive to come back, and you make these decisions at an emotional high and people don't necessarily want to revisit these experiences either.

I have tried a social pressure approach by adding the ability to follow dilemmas, as well as email updates at key periods. But it just ain't going, and I am getting tired dm'ing people on reddit and trying to convince them to post on my site. Furthermore, I was off to a good start, got 4 posts, and now no one is biting, at all.

I have one more idea which is to make the outcome and needed step of the process. Instead of just post -> get advice -> report outcome, I could turn it into a continuous loop where there are "rounds" of advice.

But ya, I am stuck here guys. I was looking forward to doing content marketing which would be a great strat, but I just cannot get a dilemma through the entire cycle...what should I do?

Working on a startup idea I think has potential. Already have the MVP up and live, currently trying to validate the idea and see if it has potential. This stage is tough work and is quite tedious, and I am looking for someone who loves building stuff as much as I do to come on board and help me out with this project. If interested, shoot me a dm!

Startup graveyard

Hey guys, so I have been working on an idea the last little while and I just cannot validate the product. I have the MVP, have been getting people to try it out and unfortunately it's just not going.

So I was wondering, is there a platform where we could post "failed" startup projects that we have been working on? My thought process is that maybe others will see something that you overlooked or have more experience in a certain area that they can apply and make it successful. The same applies to yourself; You can view other peoples projects that they were not able to make successful and maybe YOU have certain expertise that can turn it into a success.

If this exists, could yall point me towards it please?

Hi guys, so I had this idea for an app and so I spun up and MVP. The basic idea is that you upload your "dilemma"/problem that you need, pick a piece of advice that someone suggests, and set a time horizon for when you will come back and provide an update on what happened.

Overtime, the competitive advantage becomes a structured dataset on how humans make decisions, as well as advice givers scored based on actual outcomes that played out which I have not seen done before.

But promoting a social media app is tough and I was wondering if you guys had any ideas for the best way to do this? I have seeded the app with a bunch of fake dilemmas and a few solved as well since there has to be some credibility and social proof if I am to stand any chance.

The app is up and running, domained and everything so all forms of marketing/promotion are possible! All suggestions welcomed!

Anyways, advice is welcomed!
