Went and test drove a new 2026 M440i at a dealership nearby that we’ve given our business to in the past. After the test drive, I asked for some out the door numbers so I could sleep on it.

$72,500 MSRP, I was expecting after taxes and such to put me in the high 70s out of the door.

The rep comes back 10 minutes later from his sales manager, no negotiations, offering me $7000 off MSPR. Out the door at $69,900. Said that they want to get this deal done soon so he wanted to come at me with an aggressive offer. Basically 0 dealer add ons.

I know I could negotiate it further, but is this a pretty fair price for an M440i with pretty much all the bells and whistles? I loved the car and it is absolutely at the top of my list.

25 male, single, budget $80,000. (Can stretch more If the car is something I love)

Been test driving some cars recently to get a feel of the options out there. Test drove an Audi RS3, Lexus LC 500, Mercedes AMG CLE 53, C8 Corvette, and a Porsche 911.

I feel more confused after test driving these cars than before. There’s a lot of things I like with each of the cars, but nothing I want to pull the trigger on yet.

I am looking for a daily driver. I commute 4 hours one way once/twice a month to see my parents. (Half the trip is highway, the other half is backroads ~270 miles one way). No pets and no significant other so storage doesn’t need to be a priority, but I want at least some. I currently drive a Honda CRV hybrid and have only ever driven a Nissan Xterra before that, so any of these are power upgrades and a different car.

Wants:
- A nice interior with Apple CarPlay. Not a fan of the C8’s cockpit style interior at all, makes passenger feel obsolete.
- Coupe imo looks better.
- Smoothish ride for those long highway trips I take occasionally.
- Fast. I loved the speed the RS3 and CLE 53 had when putting your foot down.
- I want a car that sounds good. The exhaust on the CLE 53 is so disappointing. The LC 500 + RS3 sounded so good inside and out.
- reliability is definitely a must, whether that is something that is bulletproof or as long as it’s well maintained can last 100,000+ miles.
- not a must, but I love unique cars. Something that doesn’t look like regular traffic and is an eye catcher.
- must be automatic. Don’t want a manual daily driver.

I understand you have to pay to play, and I’m willing to pay. I just want some other recommendations now that I have a list of wants in a car. I was going to check out a Ford GT500 and Toyota Supra next. Any thoughts are appreciated!
