Why do we all default to using mason jars for cielo?
In the country I live in, it’s actually pretty hard to find good-quality jars that are truly reusable. The lids tend to wear out quickly and start leaking after just a few uses, which makes them kind of unreliable. Because of that, I’ve been thinking about switching to real lab equipment altogether.
One idea I keep coming back to is using more bottle-like containers instead of jars. They seem more durable and cheaper in some ways, and maybe better for repeated use. The obvious downside is stability.
Is there any major reason not to go in that direction? Are jars actually better in ways I’m overlooking?
