Partitioned SSD - System refuses to erase partition
I have an SSD that I split into three volumes using Windows disk management. One is NTFS, another is exFAT and I want the third one to be APFS. I left bot exFAT and APFS partitions as exFAT on Windows. Then I move to my Mac to erase both, as exFAT and APFS respectively (I heard MacOS plays nicer with exFAT formatted on MacOS). However, for the third partition, it's not allowing me to format it as APFS or even as exFAT. This is weird, because for the second partition, which was also exFAT, it erased it and formatted into exFAT without any issues.
I tried Disk Utility, but I'm not seeing any options to delete or rebuild that volume. When I right click and use Erase, it says it can't erase without erasing additional volumes.
It's a 2Tb drive, the goal is to split 500Gb NTFS, 1Tb exFAT and 500Gb APFS.
edit: Thank you for the help, MBR was the issue. I just deleted the whole drive using Disk Utility on MacOS, converted to GUID and remade the partitions as 500Gb APFS, 500Gb exFAT and 1Tb exFAT. Then formatted the 500Gb exFAT into NTFS using Windows.
Done: 500Gb APFS, 500Gb NTFS and 1Tb exFAT.
