We’re planning a two-and-a-half-week family holiday to Tenerife in January 2027. Our kids will be two and a half years old and eleven months old at the time. We’re considering splitting the trip into two parts. The first half will be spent in the northern part of the island, where we’ll hike and sightsee. The second half will be in the southern part, where we’ll relax on the beaches. I’m thinking of staying in Puerto de la Cruz for the northern island activities and Costa Adeje for our southern beach time. What are your thoughts on these two locations?

For parents of a toddler + newborn: how did you and your partner divide things in the early months? I’m exclusively breastfeeding so I’m mostly with the baby while my husband takes the toddler, and I feel sad/guilty that I barely see my toddler some days. Did it get easier? When did things start to balance out?
