Decent set?

Decent set?

Hey everybody, I am working on an 8 piece Stones cover band ensemble (horns/keys/aux perc included) for a show this summer. Its a one off kind of thing and we are just trying to have some fun.

These are the songs we’ve put together for the set and have been rehearsing. As fans, what are we thinking? Any discernible swaps / misses here?

It’s a more upbeat environment, drinking and dancing kind of thing. Hence, the shortage of mellow tunes would be the only note.

Its may be a bit by the numbers but i feel like busting out Hey Negrita or Love is Strong or something may lose more casual folks. ( great songs )

Edit: 1hr 15 set length

Windering where to start!?

Hey everyone, I have had this guitar sitting around for 30 years. It was my second electric guitar, MIM Strat 1995. I’ve never taken on a guitar rebuild before, but this is inspiring me to maybe try, would be cool to bring this back to life. I don’t care how long it takes or anything as I am in no rush. I wanted to post here to see what you guys thought collectively as a good place to start would be and how I could accomplish the goal here. It has had a broken string jammed in the bridge for the past 12 to 15 years, whole thing is unplayable. I realize it is grossly effed up in comparison to the usual beauties that get shown on this page, don’t judge! This was my guitar at around 12 years old!

Life, post set up

So I recently set up my old man’s telecaster that I inherited last year. It had been between a few different moves and climates and had never had a proper set up, it needed a lot of love from the guitar doctor. Anyway, just wanted to bask in the sweet glory that is a new set up on a well built tele. I’m learning a bunch of Stones tunes for a thing and I can’t put this guitar down. So much fun. Cheers to a properly set up guitar! 🍻
