If my head circumference is 59 cm and an Ops Core Fast XP (legacy hight cut) with Lux liner fits me pretty well, even with peltors underneath, would a Medium Caiman a good fit? Or do I need an L.

I know that they advise to size up if you in between sizes, but same was on paper the case for the Ops Core.

I know a lot is dependend on liners. Hence I would like to ask people who had both ops core and galvion caiman.

So would you recommend an Caiman M or L in my case?

Reading about the Praetorian Speculatores it always gets confusing.

Sometimes they are described as the close protection bodyguard of tge emperor, but also as spies and responsible for reconnaissance and things like executions. Descriptions of their funcrions always vary.

In some books its mentioned they very cavalry, in others that there was a infantry and a cavalry component of the speculatores.

This is quiet confusing, since its also mentioned they were replaced by the equites singulares augusti. Meaning they were cavalry and a close protection unit?

But how they also could be responsible for spying and reconnaissance while being close protection of the emperor?

What is the current consensus of historians about their functions?

I have the Atom Lt for a while, but it kinda is too cold for me during spring and most of the fall and of course to warm during summer. Maybe its too cold because its not the best protection against even slight wind.

I am also not using it for actuve movement, mistly ealking around and being static.

Any sugestians?

Is there something like a soft shell wind jacket(hoody)?
