So I fell on hard times and defaulted on my payment plan. I immediately contacted IRS spoke with a representative and got it reinstated she said 10 to 14 days I would get a new letter and my account would update and everything would be ok payments would resume may 28th ….ffwd 3 weeks I recieved another notice on my account of default intent to levy and my account is showing the updated payment amounts but still says default and I still haven’t received my letter is this normal? I would think it would update quickly
