Night gardening

Has anyone ever tried night gardening?

I'm in a hot area in Colorado. During the summer, it can get into the 90s for days in a row.

I've often thought how nice this might be, but haven't ever tried it. I'm currently getting my garden ready to be planted. It's quite a mess... I've got weeds everywhere in my backyard. So as it's only me, it's a good 2-3 year job before it starts to look like a pretty garden, instead of an area that no one cares about. Longer possibly because I'm not out there as much due to the heat.

Has anyone in this group ever done this before?

I got this piece of raw Amazonite about ten years ago. We were at an Amazonite mine, and we're allowed to pick up any pieces we wanted.

What would you recommend I do with it?

My puppy, Rutledge (Rut) is named after my grandpa's cocker... I got him because my mom swore they were the smartest dogs around.

I just got my boy a new puzzle. You put treats into it, and it rolls around... I got him this one because he figured out the other puzzle (you put treats in squares and they have to figure out where.)

He's done both puzzles in minutes. He learned how to sit, lay down, settle, shake (both paws), and up within a half hour.

I'm so amazed at their brilliant minds. He goes into my yard... Without a leash, and won't leave my side.. I still leash him... He loves the neighborhood chickens...

I also won't leash him up in front alone... LSS, but last summer I left him for a few minutes and when I got back a guy was getting out of his car... Walking over to visit. He got back into his car as soon as I walked around the corner. ruts too friendly... Barking up a storm.. telling me, mom, invader.

Yet other things... Yikes... His brain is just gone. Lol

Is your dog smart? And dumb at the same time?

I've not been feeling really well lately. I lost my job, the economy is really horrible, etc.

My baby girl knows. She comes up, sits behind my head on my chair and snuggles, purring.

I just love her so much.

I'm autistic but haven't been tested... I'm 63... I'm feeling so alone right now. I was planning to, but lost my job before I could.

I lost my job in November... I was fired. I personally believe unfairly... Since then, ive been somewhat frozen. I feel so invisible. Life for me has been so unfair... I've been bullied most of my life,, by bosses, friends, and family.

I can't seem to get up in the morning with a smile on my face. I sit around and watch videos. I just sometimes want to be elsewhere. I know, I need to see a doctor, but as per the USA, I have no insurance. I'm fighting with unemployment because they're convinced I'm not who I claim. I've been signing on since mid December, and I've received no money... And we all know that no money means no food, shutting off power, no Internet which I need, if I'm to find a job. They currently owe me about $6k. How does one find a job in this shit economy? Don't get me started on our worthless administration.

I had to get rid of my car last year because I didn't have an extra $700.00 a month for insurance and my car payment.

How do you wonderful women get past the feeling of isolation and really hating others. Not trusting anyone. And too, this terrified feeling of starting over, thinking why? Someone will pull the rug out from under me again. This happened to me just over two years ago... But it feels different. I've not even been able to cry this time, I'm just feeling dead inside.

I can't retire... I don't have the funds saved.

How do you suggest I light a candle again?

Thanks.

So, I have a puppy mill boy. He's now 2 and a half. I got him from the shelter after they picked up about 100 dogs. He was about 6 months old.

My question... I think he was possibly smacked around while he got his toe nails clipped. It breaks my heart... But I know I have to cut them. What he does, cowers, and pees.

My question. I've not been cutting them that often because of his deathly fear...

What I do, hold his paw, tell him what a good boy he is, and clip..

Should I cut them more frequently? What else might help?

I'm not concerned particularly about his peeing..it happens... But it'd be nice to stop it and somehow get him used to this.

Old photo of my Rutledge. My heart.

Thanks... 💙💙💙
