Terrible Response to an Email

Asking why they address a letter sent by email to my residential address when all my correspondence is sent to my PO Box including credit card statements

"CBA Information Classification: Customer and Personal ]

All mail is address to your residential address, as no one lives in a Po box. Your postal address remains the same"

CBA card disputes are something else.

I disputed a credit card transaction for a service that wasn’t completed as agreed. The merchant’s own dispute outcome admitted part of the agreed work wasn’t done and gave me only a partial refund.

CBA first closed the dispute for “insufficient information”.

Then after I complained, they said the dispute had been reopened and was under investigation.

Then apparently they closed it again, but I never received the outcome email they claim was sent.

Then they asked me to provide the merchant’s terms and conditions/refund policy.

Then they sent another letter saying they had already assessed the merchant’s terms and conditions/refund policy and decided the transaction was correctly charged.

So which is it?

Did they not have enough information?

Did they already assess the merchant’s terms?

Did they need me to provide them?

Was the dispute open?

Was it closed?

Was it reopened?

No one seems to know.

The best part is the merchant had already admitted the service wasn’t fully completed. Somehow CBA still turned this into a paperwork scavenger hunt instead of just assessing the actual dispute.

Absolutely cooked.
