Safety for F early twenties

Hi,

I've never lived in Boston and will be moving to Sommerville, close to Spring Hill and Winter Hill.

I'm very big on walks and was thinking of walking to my job- like 50min across the river close to Wellington T station. Is it a bad idea?

Is there a good pedestrian pass that I can use and is it safe for me to go through there in the early mornings and afternoons?

Otherwise I'll have to take the green line T to North Station or Haymarket and then back up with the orange line.

Also any ideas or help in my move or things to do are appreciated:)

Looking for September + October Sublet/Room, flexible location but Orange Line preferred

Hi everyone!!!

I'm a European medical student that will be in Boston for 2 months: September and October so would need a room for those 2 whole months.

Rent should be preferrably <1200-1300 dollars and I would prefer it connected to the Orange Line or Cambridge/Sommerville area but I don't exclude any location.

I'm a female, but don't mind living with males and am very open-minded, clean and responsible.

PLEASE IF ANYONE HAS ANY LEADS, DM ME. much appreciated :)

QUESTION: I've been looking on Craigslist and everyone asks for my phone number? I have not given it out yet due to privacy reasons but is that normal or is it just full of scammers? Thanks and sorry if it sounds dumb, I'm not used to these platforms where I'm from.
