Brand new book missing pages? Thriller reader’s worst nightmare

I’m on page 184 of Strangers in the Villa by Robyn Harding, fully invested, tension building… and then BAM—suddenly I’m on page 233 like I blacked out mid-plot twist. No ripped pages, no warning, just a chaotic time jump with zero context. The sentences don’t even pretend to connect.

This is a brand new library copy, so now I’m wondering:

printing error?

cursed book?

or is this some next-level psychological thriller experience I wasn’t emotionally prepared for?

Maybe the author will release a part 2, but it’s right in the meaty part of the book where things are unfolding so idk.

Has this ever happened to anyone else, or am I the chosen one for missing chapters?

Robyn Harding really said “plot twist”… and twisted the plot right out of this copy.

I guess it’s not Strangers in the Villa… it’s Pages Missing in the Villa 😭📖

I’ve got a backup copy arriving later today to compare. We’ll see which version survives the twist.

If this turns out to be an elaborate April Fools stunt… hats off to the author/manufacturer for committing this hard to the suspense.
