I have been using my laptop for college for 4 years, now nearly 5 years. I turn on conservative battery so it stop at 60%. I heard that I can just change the battery if the wear are too high. Question is when should I change it? The current one only last for 4hrs at most.
I just bought a laptop for my sister which is HP 14 EP1188TU and after I installed windows 11, i try to limit charging until 80% which nearly all other brand has. But I can't find it, not in settings, not in hp driver app and i can't find how also on internet.
Does this feature exist in the laptop at all?
Hi, my sister is going to university and I am going to buy her laptop. I have Budget of Rp.9.000.000,00-Rp.12.000.000,00 Idr, Indonesia which is around 500-650$.
I don't really trust used stuff or refurb in my country so I prefer new laptop.
This is what I am looking for:
- I prioritise build quality and performance that last for 5 years, especially keyboard
- Battery life at least 4-6 hrs unplugged for class, the more better
- Weight itself is not really a concern
- She mostly do light video editing, excel and gaming like peak, phasmophobia and lethal company
- Hdmi port for presentation in class
I am not familiar with laptop or pc part so I have several question for example:
- I am not sure to get a laptop with strong cpu with no dgpu or a laptop with dgpu for game such as peak, phasmophobia, and lethal company. Can a laptop with only igpu run it? for example at that price range:
It seems that every igpu is depends on the cpu so I have no idea how to compare it
- Is rtx3050 and 2050 too old? some people said those and told me to get 4050.
I manage to find some with rtx2050 and rtx 3050 in those price range.

- Lenovo loq 15 i5 12450hx rtx3050 12gb (not sure if 12gb enough)
