I just went to a waterpark yesterday, kiddie pools and everything. I actually purchased a lanyard with a waterproof casing as an added layer of protection for the Z70 Ultra, knowing full well the phone's IP68 and IP69 rating.

While in the midst of entertaining my kids splashing about, a stranger pointed out to me that my 'waterproof casing' was half-filled with water. I quickly checked on my phone, and my Z70 Ultra was a black empty screen, it was doing a short and quick vibration, followed by a white flash, and it repeated over and over as though it was in an endless loop. I took it out of the casing, and immediately felt the heat of the phone's surface was unlike anything that I've ever experienced with the phone, even during the times when I put it through severe gaming sessions while multi-tasking with YouTube playing in the background and many apps running.

It took a very, very long time to exit its loop and cool down, and I figured the battery finally depleted. However when I tried to charge it, my Anker powerbank showed output was fluctuating between 0.1-0.2W, when a normal charge would be 64-65W. At that point I realised I had a very serious problem. Till now my phone is unable to charge and unable to be powered on.

Can someone advise me what's going on, and what steps I can take to rectify this? The phone is barely 11 months old and I've taken very good care of it. I take it to the toilet during showers and it survives splashes and the occasional rinse no problem. The water park water was typical pool water, and it was at the kids' playground area, meaning the water was about knee-deep. At most it went through the kids water slides with me, but then again, its also 'protected' by the waterproof casing. Some one please advise me what to do next please!
