Anyone here gay?
This sub is very based on love lives so I was curious if anyone here can’t relate because they’re gay. Or even bi. Doesn’t matter if you’ve come out or anything I’m just curious.
Context: I’m gay and only come out to one friend (I am anonymous on Reddit so idc)
A word to the parents who read this sub
PLEASE STOP INSPECTING YOUR TEENS PHONES AND TECHNOLOGY!!
If they aren’t telling you something, there must be a reason, respect that.
I almost got into a close call where my parents almost found I was bi potentially years too early.
Thanks for caring enough to read this far!

I know that sounds shocking.
So, today i am fascinated by software and technology, someone who does stuff like installs Linux just for the fun of it. and there were 2 factors that lead up to that.
- Online school during COVID: I got a laptop and was permitted full access to it, I wasn’t that old, so I didn’t really understand the dangers of the internet, but I learned a lot about them, and how to avoid them, and that there’s a lot of cool software out there.
- Parental controls: naturally with this concept of my mind, having only an hour to explore is quite limiting, or that’s how I felt, I am now of the belief that parental controls are quite healthy if done correctly, but at the time, I only knew that they had to be terminated. I found dozens of exploits across iOS, Windows, Nintendo Switch, and more, and it also taught me a lot about software, how it works, and why it might not work.
- I don’t do this stuff much anymore, because my parents and I arranged a setup that we both like, and I’m able to work within it.
- But as I’m going into high school, I want to take courses to become a software engineer or game developer.
- Note: as I said above, working within your parental controls and NOT exploiting them is actually really healthy for you, and it teaches you about trust and relationships that don’t involve conflict (your parents), but this also helped me discover a part of me I didn’t see before.
