I’ve been following Eric and Jessie James Decker’s family content on Instagram for a while now, and it’s become impossible to ignore: Eric Decker has an obvious favoritism toward his three sons and shows very little love or public attention toward his daughter Vivianne.
While Jessie posts about all their kids, Eric’s feed is dominated by posts of him spending time with his boys trips, sports, daily hangouts, and especially their birthdays. He loves throwing around hashtags like #BoyDad, #dadof3boys, and #FatherAndSons.
But when it comes to his daughter? Almost nothing. The very few times she appears in his posts, it’s usually because Jessie posted it first and tagged him. I’ve rarely seen Eric make his own dedicated posts about her with anything close to the same energy no consistent #GirlDad posts, no heartfelt #FatherAndDaughter content, nothing that matches what he does for the boys. Eric has shared some sweet moments with his daughter in the past (like a daddy-daughter dance a couple of years ago), but it feels noticeably less frequent and less highlighted compared to the boys.
It’s been this way for a very long time, and it’s honestly gross. Celebrities and influencers like Eric love bragging about being “boy dads” while treating their daughters like an afterthought. It feels like sons get celebrated and prioritized, while daughters get sidelined. This kind of blatant favoritism makes my stomach turn.
Am I the only one seeing this pattern in their content? Has anyone else noticed how Eric barely posts his daughter compared to the boys? It’s disappointing and pretty telling.
