Our lovely mod, Crez, posted asking if we should just make a megathread for all the Nao hate and criticism and I initially said no because I personally didn’t see that many posts about, atleast not in this subreddit. Like sure, I’ve seen them on other platforms, mainly youtube, but this subreddit seemed to only have about a few of em, maybe one or two every week (which is already annoying enough).

And so I said just that in my comment and also mentioned that it feels abit suffocating to censor the subreddit because yes, Nao is the kind of character that is bound to get hate from people who just view her on the surface as “crying, whiney, annoying baby hanging on to Akiyama”. But whatever, right?

Then I went to check the actual home page of the subreddit and found out that I only saw the “best” posts and so I clicked on “New” instead.

And bam. I suddenly got a hit of Nao hate and was completely aghast at how many there were.

I checked a few of them and they all said the same thing over and over, which was actually painful. Some of the posts were downright ragebait and I was considering whether to even interact with them or not.

To all the Nao bashers, it doesn’t matter what we say to you so I’ll just say this. There are hundreds of other posts saying the exact same shit as you are. You’re not special and you don’t need to post a new Nao hate post every single week. We get enough as it is.

And for my answer (though I’ve already said this in the original post), YES. Please yes, make a megathread.
