Here is a DNA model of the Lebanese people. The Lebanese are the people who live in the historical region of Mount Lebanon and the Anti-Lebanon Mountains, as well as everyone living within the borders of modern Lebanon — borders that were drawn by France by combining several regions with the Vilayet of Mount Lebanon.

Lebanon is famously known as the land that was once home to a Mediterranean superpower — the Phoenicians. Yes, they were the ones who built Carthage and had influence across the entire Mediterranean Sea. Modern genetic research shows that the Lebanese are descendants of the Canaanites, which automatically means they are descendant of Phoenicians as well.
