Grey Market

Currently on Zep and it is covered by my insurance. However I have heard rumblings that it might not be for long.
I have been lucky and it has been easy for me as my PCP prescribed it and helps me decide when to move up a dose.
If my insurance stops how reliable is the grey market or am I better to do Lilly direct?
For that matter would Reta be better? Please note I am having great success on Zep.

Liver Enzyme’s and Weight Loss

Male 51.

I have always been a beer drinker and been overweight. I see my Dr every year and get my blood work done. For the last few years my ALT has been mildly elevated and my Dr has always told me it is due to fatty liver. A few years back I had high Bilirubin and they did an ultrasound and they mentioned fatty liver. During this time I was also diagnosed with Hasimotos disease. As well as a few other things that overweight people tend to have. Sleep apnea, mildly high cholesterol and blood pressure.
Well this January I found myself at 290 pounds and having a few beers by myself when my wife wasn’t at home. So the next day I contacted my PCP to discuss my weight and GLP medication. We started on it on Feb 15th. My regular check up a blood work were scheduled for April 15. I was looking forward to testing as I had lost 30 pounds at that point. Well, my ALT was up to 85 AST 53 and bilirubin of 1.6. As well my thyroid was way off as well. I was so disappointed as I had been cutting back on alcohol and had lost weight. The only good news is my Blood pressure was 120/80 and cholesterol is back to normal.
Sorry for the long story but if anyone else has a similar story or an idea of what is going on please let me know.

I go back to have another blood test soon so hopefully it doesn’t get worse.
