So I need to paint some stone chips on my 3 year old RAV4 Prime. The color is 089 BC with clear coat. Went to the dealer to get the touch-up and applied it. It is too white and can be clearly seen as white though after applying the clear coat it is pearly. So I called the dealer and was told that because my car is 3 years old the original paint got darker. If it is true, Is there any way to "age" the touch-up paint to match the color?

2023 RAV4 Prime. Received the notice 25TA08 for a recall but my screen is fine. I happened to be at the dealer today buying a touch up paint so I asked. They said that I need to do it otherwise I would not be able to register my car next time because it is a safety recall. I think service advisor is lying.

So is it safe to do it? Did anyone's screen go bad after software update? I really can't afford to leave my car with a dealer for the part replacement.
