Should I go through this tattoo or wait?

Hi !! I need honest advice because I’m hesitating a lot before my first tattoo appointment (already booked for next month)
I’m planning to get a handpoke tattoo made of simple lines that follow the body (as in the picture) on my ribs and (very almost sternum) upper stomach area. It’s not fine line or detailed, just flowing medium size lines.
The thing is: I was super sure about it, but recently I saw another style from a different artist that I love AND friends/family have told me how bad this area ages so now I’m doubting.
So I’m wondering: Are these kinds of doubts normal before getting a tattoo?
Or is it a sign that I’m not actually ready and might regret it?
How well do simple handpoke lines age in that area (ribs/upper stomach)? I also have the option to do this same tattoo on my back but I’m scared it might “take the spot” for a future tattoo
And would you go through with it, or wait until you’re 100% sure?
I like the original idea, but I’m scared of committing while having another style in mind…
