Seeking advice/ knowledge

I started running two months ago and run anywhere from 1 mile to a 5K 3-4 times a week. In the past week I have developed pain in my left knee on the side while running, that stays even after I’ve ran. I’ve tried icing it, putting a heating pad on it, getting shoe inserts. Nothing seems to help stop it and I’m trying to keep up my running journey. Help!!
