I’m considering leaving the Democratic Party and becoming a Independent.
So I’m still a supporter of VP Harris to a fault and numerous other Black Democratic Politicians. Yet I’m seriously over how people use black women for there agenda and disrespect us so frequently and regularly. Especially White Liberals, Immigrants, Palestinians, & etc. The Democratic Party doesn’t prioritize Black Women or push for anything that specifically benefits us and doesn’t even want us to be the leaders of the coalition. Black Women benefit the least from voting democrat yet Jewish People, Immigrants, Ukrainians, Palestinians, & etc reap the benefits of our labor. This consistent disrespect makes me want to leave the coalition. Then to see the racist disrespect that Jasmine Crockett, Stacey Abrams, Kamala Harris have received especially when they put other communities above themselves. Something I’ve learned from 2024 is to be selfish and at this point I don’t really care about issues unless they directly impact me. I have this conversation with my friends and family in my daily life and I wondered if this is something that many have felt or been feeling as of late.
