5-1 Draven on the Runes and Rift tripple win-a-box
Hi guys,
> "Who wants some Draven? Heheheh."
I've been quietly experimenting with Draven, Annie and Khazix lately, and decided to bring a Draven brew to the Runes and Rift tournament on Saturday. I haven't seen many decks posted around, as Draven is not popular in China right now, so I figured I can drop one for my reddit peepos.
I ended up 9th, bubbling out of top-cut due to tiebreaks, but I'm overall quite happy with how the deck performed.

The MUs were:
Diana (1-2)
Khazix (2-0)
LeBlanc (2-1)
Vex (2-0)
Azir (2-1)
Viktor (2-0)
Some initial thoughts after the run:
- I probably need a hard bargain (or abandon) main deck
- existential dread is AMAZING for turning point tempo. Scuffed holds are suddenly not scuffed. You can Tideturner a Jhin and play it when fully tapped out, which ppl don't expect.
- Evelyn is great. I should bring back the 3rd one. Even if ppl play around her, there are some amazing interactions you can do.
- Jhin is the goat. That being said, I may have overcooked a bit, as the deck curves out amazing when he is played on curve, but struggles for power when you don't see him.
- need to figure the Aurora MU. My plan was try for a Mindsplitter g1. Post board try to rush them down and Star-Crossed the first Elder. But I think it may be good to play some sort of gear removal.
- Games where I get to play Forerunner on curve feel amazing. But it's too scary to main deck it. Even in my run, 4 out of 6 MUs I couldn't bring in the Forerunner - either due to Star-Crossed/Fizz spam, or Mirror Image.
Next on my agenda is:
- to figure out the Aurora MU
- experiment with different top-ends main deck.
I streamed the entire tournament (with hidden cards as-per the tournament rules). The the 8 hour VOD is attached at the bottom of the piltoverarchive link.
