Thermal pad thickness for Acer Nitro 5 AN515-47?

Hi, I’m repasting my Nitro 5 AN515-47. Inside, I see a mix of both thermal putty and actual thermal pads on different components.

I’m planning to use putty where the stock putty was, but for the parts that use thermal pads, does anyone know the exact thickness? Is it 1.0mm or 0.5mm?I want to make sure I don't use pads that are too thick, or it might mess up the contact with the CPU/GPU die.

Fan Replacement: Can I use a 12V 1A fan on an Acer Nitro 5 AN515-47?

Hey guys, I need some help with my Acer Nitro 5 AN515-47.

My CPU fan died and I can’t find the exact replacement anywhere. The only ones I keep seeing online are for the AN515-58 (FCN brand).

They’re 12V like mine, but my original fan is 0.6A (7.2W) and these ones are 1A, so I’m not sure if it’s safe to use.

Does anyone know if:

  1. A 1A fan would be okay?

  2. The AN515-58 fan actually fits the AN515-47? (screw holes, connector, size, etc.)
