Not quite NGD, more RGD (Reborn Guitar Day)

I swapped out the Fishman Fluence Moderns for a Seymour Duncan Sentient and Nazgûl set. I also put in CTS push-pull pots for coil splitting each pickup. I am very happy with the way this sounds!

I prefer the sound of passive to active pickups, but I did not expect to like the coil split options as much as I do. When playing with very high gain settings (or even a fuzz) and a 27" scale guitar in A standard (aka D standard 7 string) tuning, the coil split sounds are useful for getting a bit more articulation as well as sounding really great clean.

I really tried with FIshman Fluence Moderns, but I just don't like them and have too many other passive pickup guitars that would necessitate constant re-dialing of amp+pedal settings and/or presets on my Quad Cortex to go back and forth between active and passive. So, those who love them, more power to you, but respectfully you can keep your Fishmans, they simply don't do it for me. ;)

For anyone like me considering it, this combo works and I highly recommend the extra soldering work to put in coil split option. This guitar has been reborn and I really love it!
