Best Email Setup for privacy, modularity and usability?

I'm de-Microsofting/de-Googling and rethinking my email setup after finding my old Outlook address in multiple data breaches. Drowning in phishing too.

What I have (all free): Proton Mail, Tuta, SimpleLogin, AnonAddy.

My use cases:

  • Job applications (real name needed?)
  • Government/institutional services (real identity, or can I use an alias here?)
  • Everything else (real name irrelevant)

What I'm trying to figure out:

  • How do you compartmentalize across these tools in practice?
  • Proton vs Tuta as primary inbox?
  • how do you organize aliases?
  • What's your approach when an address gets found in a breach, how do you migrate cleanly?
  • Any schemas that balance privacy with actually being usable day-to-day?

Free only, no paid plans. Thanks.

Are office chairs biased towards taller people? (Or is it just me?)

After struggling with a Sihoo M102C (seat depth 48 cm) that feels too deep for me at 172 cm / 5’7”, I started wondering about the relationship between height and chair design.

It seems many ergonomic chairs have seat depths around 48–50 cm, which works well if you’re tall, but can dig into the back of your knees if you’re average or shorter. I’ve noticed that with a lot of popular models, the seat doesn’t go shallow enough even when adjusted, and lowering the chair or using a footrest doesn’t fully fix the problem.

This makes me ask: is there a general bias in office chair design toward taller users? Do manufacturers assume a “standard” user who is taller than the actual average? I’d love to hear from people of different heights, what seat depth works for your height, and have you found chairs that truly accommodate shorter or more petite builds without making you sacrifice back support?

Any thoughts, experiences or recommendations are really appreciated.

Is the seat too deep for me?

I just bought a Sihoo M102C and I am very happy with it overall, except for a problem that actually makes the chair unusable.

I feel pressure on the back of my thighs, especially near the back of my knees, my legs start to go numb and become painful after just a few minutes.

I tried lowering the seat to the minimum height and/or using a foot rest, but even then I still can't bend my legs at a 90 degree angle and can't feel my feet firmly planted.

The only thing that works is moving forward and losing all the lumbar, back and neck support.

The seat depth is 48cm and I am 172cm tall (about 5'7)
