Advice on getting into the music industry (artist + studio path)

Hi, I’m writing this on behalf of my friend.

We’re both relatively new to music and haven’t graduated yet. We also don’t live in the US, but we’ve been thinking seriously about our future and how to get into the music industry.

My friend) is aiming to become a singer-songwriter, while I’m more interested in working in a studio or in behind-the-scenes roles.

We’re trying to understand what paths we should be looking at, such as:

what kinds of jobs can help us get closer to producers or artists

how people typically enter those environments

whether there are roles that involve going on tour and working directly with artists

We’re open to pursuing multiple streams of income and building international connections, rather than relying on just one path.

Any advice or direction would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

My friend is trying to become a music artist through social media and actually putting in the work and it would mean a lot if you checked him out

Hey, this might be a bit random and out of place but I wanted to help my friend out.

He goes by DEHY and he’s been trying really hard to improve his singing and make music. I’ve seen him stress over recordings, redo takes over and over, and still keep going even when he thinks his voice sounds bad.

He’s been posting covers on TikTok and trying to get better, but he doesn’t really have much support yet.I saw how serious he was and he said he will make his own songs soon also.

If you have a minute, it would honestly mean a lot if you checked him out or even just gave him a bit of encouragement.

Thanks for reading 🙏

(Please do not tell him I helped him lol)
