I've been working on something I'm genuinely excited to share — Yokai Linux, a cyberpunk-themed, security-focused distro built for pentesters, researchers, and privacy-focused users.

What is Yokai Linux?

Inspired by Japanese folklore — the hidden, shapeshifting spirits that lurk unseen — Yokai Linux is built around one philosophy: be invisible when you want to be, unstoppable when you need to be.

What Kali and Parrot don't have — but Yokai does:

• 🧠 AI-assisted recon engine — built-in LLM integration that helps map attack surfaces, suggest next steps during engagements, and auto-document findings in real time. No plugin needed, no API key juggling.
• 👁️ Yokai Cloak Mode — a one-command full-system anonymization layer that rotates MAC addresses, spins up Tor + VPN chaining, and isolates sessions per interface. Kali makes you set this up manually every time.
• 🧬 Live identity switching — swap between pre-configured "operator profiles" (different toolsets, network configs, browser fingerprints) without rebooting. Built for red team ops where context-switching matters.
• 🔐 Hardened by default, not as an afterthought — unlike Kali (which ships with root-friendly defaults for convenience), Yokai enforces MAC policies, AppArmor profiles, and kernel hardening out of the box.
• 📦 Sandboxed tool execution — every tool runs in its own isolated container. No more one compromised dependency taking down your whole environment. Parrot doesn't do this natively.
• 🎨 Cyberpunk UI built for ops — not just aesthetic. The interface is designed for fast navigation during live engagements: hotkey-driven, low-distraction, dark-optimized.

Who is it for?

Red teamers, blue teamers, CTF players, OSINT researchers, privacy enthusiasts — and anyone tired of spending the first hour of every engagement configuring a "security" distro that isn't actually secure by default.

I’ve been working on my own Arch Linux–based distro called Yokai Linux, focused on real-world security workflows, and I’ve just released version 1.0.

This distro is built for people who actually know what they’re doing.

It’s designed for users experienced in CTFs, bug bounty, and security research, where performance, control, and efficiency matter more than convenience.

Core features:

• Minimal Arch Linux base
• i3 window manager (fast, keyboard-driven, no unnecessary overhead)
• Terminal-focused workflow
• Preconfigured security tools
• Integrated AI to assist with tasks and analysis

This is not a beginner-friendly system.

Yokai Linux is meant for those who build, break, test, and create — people who prefer writing commands, modifying tools, and developing their own workflow.

If you’re looking for a polished, point-and-click environment, this is probably not for you.

But if you understand the workflow, you’ll feel at home.

This is just the first public version, and it will continue evolving.

iae gente tudo tranquilo ? eu sou um estudante de redes de computadores na faculdade pub e de seguranca eu pensei assim po todo mundo gosta de usar kali linux os "hackers" porque nao tem conhecimento so copia e cola e eu nao gosto disso eu gosto de criar um sistema minhas propais ferramenats ao ponto que eu uso bash python e c++ nisso eu decidi se eu criar uma distro linux integrada com ia foi oq eu fiz eu criei um sistema chamado yokai linux,focado em seguranca mas so para quem realmente entende de seguranca interface e um i3 com ferramenats minhas proprias que ensina como usar las e usando o neovim para codificar claro tem nmap,burp zap wire porque eu quis deixar um padrao mas sem exagero so um basico para ctf claro ainda esta na fase inicial na versao 0.13 mas eu gostaria muito que esse projeto fosse compartilhado para as pessoas verem e usarem quem quiser baixar esta aqui o link do site https://yokai-linux-5mz1.vercel.app/ e para nao ficar sem foto aqui esta o yokai linux quem quiser seguir meu git hub https://github.com/kravuhas/yokai-linux ta aqui eu agradeco de tudo thanks

I've been building my own Arch Linux–based distro focused on information security, performance, and real-world usage, and I just released the first public version (v1.0).

This is not just another rice.

The goal is to create a system designed for people who actually work with CTFs, bug bounty, and security research — where speed, control, and workflow matter.

Main features:

• Arch Linux base (minimal & lightweight)
• i3 window manager (fast, keyboard-driven workflow)
• Integrated AI assistant for productivity and security tasks
• Preconfigured tools for pentesting and research
• Terminal-first workflow (focused on efficiency)
• Clean and distraction-free environment

Instead of using heavier environments like XFCE, I chose i3 to keep the system extremely lightweight and fast, especially during intensive tasks.

This is just the beginning — I'm improving it version by version.
