Garden Hedge Growing onto House

A bush from my neighbours garden has been growing over my fence for I presume years now (well before I brought the house looking on Zoopla). This weekend I decided to cut it back and found it was growing along the wall, under/around the fascia and even starting to grow under a couple of the tiles.

This is all new to me. From these pictures do I have anything to worry about, anything I should be looking to do (DIY, obviously 😁)?

Cancelling EE Broadband

I am now in the last 30 days of my broadband contract and am looking to switch provider to save some money. After initiating the OTS to Plusnet (they are the same parent company anyway...) I was surprised to be notified I'd have to pay a cancellation fee although my switch date would take me to my contract end date and with the required cancellation notice.

After calling retentions and going through the fact they couldn't match the price Plusnet were giving me (which is more than their current new customer offer available via Uswitch, go figure!) I was told that as I am giving notice of cancellation today, inside my contract contract period I would have no choice but to pay the fee regardless of the fact I'd be seeing out my contractual period with them as my supplier. Surely this can't be right as, presuming I want an easy switch I can't initiate until after my contract end date meaning I am beholden to them for 30 days longer (the notice period) than I am contracted with them for which feels very much against the terms of the agreement?

Anyone else who has left EE broadband at the end of their contact has a similar experience?
