Everyone is trying to predict a crash right now… but that might be the problem

Everyone is trying to predict a crash right now… but that might be the problem

Feels like everywhere you look:

  • “Market crash coming”
  • “Recession is here”
  • “Geopolitics is getting worse”

And honestly… maybe that’s true.

But what I’ve noticed is:

People take that uncertainty and start overcomplicating everything.

They:

  • wait for perfect entries
  • constantly switch strategies
  • react to every headline

And it ends up hurting them more than helping.

What I’ve been doing instead:

  • DCA into positions
  • sell puts during high fear
  • sell calls when things bounce
  • stay consistent

Not trying to predict—just trying to build.

Curious how others are handling this environment.

Everyone’s Predicting a Crash… Here’s Why That’s a Problem

I’ve been focusing on selling options for consistent income instead of chasing big trades

Instead of trying to hit one big winner, I’ve been focusing on selling options for steady income.

What I do:

  • Sell cash-secured puts on stocks I want
  • If I get assigned → I own shares I already wanted
  • If not → I keep the premium

Then:

  • Sell covered calls to generate more income

The key isn’t the size of each trade.

It’s the consistency.

$20–$90 premiums don’t seem like much…

But repeated over time, they add up.

Curious if anyone else is running a similar strategy.

My investing strategy is actually really simple (and that’s why it works)

I used to think I needed a complicated strategy to win.

Now I keep it simple:

  • DCA into crypto (BTC, ETH) + stocks
  • Sell puts when volatility is high
  • Sell covered calls when things bounce
  • Keep cash for flexibility

What I’ve noticed:

  • Less stress
  • More consistency
  • Better long-term positioning

It’s not flashy…

But it’s repeatable—and that’s what matters.

Curious if anyone else uses something similar.
