Working in Singapore

Hi! Currently new in Singapore working as Quantity Surveyor. I have 1 yr and 8 months experience as site engineer and first time ko po mag work as QS. Problem is sadya po bang naninigaw at nanghahampas ng table ang mga supervisor na Singaporean. For almost 3 months of job hunting is sila lang po yung nag offer sakin and to stay here in sg kinuha ko na po yung opportunity.

Di ko alam kung mahina ba ang loob ko or talaga super toxic lang nitong supervisor ko. Dalawa lang kami sa office and on my first day and second day sinigawan niya agad ako kasi di ko agad naperfect yung pinapagawa niya at naiiyamot siya sakin pagnagtatanong ako. Di ko alam kung tatagal ako dito ng buwan or baka linggo. Di ko din masabi sa parents ko sa pinas since ayaw ko silang mag worry. Hays gusto ko ng magresign pero wala pa din malilipatan.

Toxic Boss

Hi everyone. Just wanted to rant. This is pretty much a horror story. After 3 months of job hunting I landed a job at a small construction company here in singapore. We are only 2 in the office and on my first day and second day my supervisor yelled at me for not getting the task perfectly. Mind you this is my first day. I was shock really. It was my first time working with singaporean and I dont know really know if majority of them are like this. I can't quit my job since I am barely starting and I havent got my pass yet. But honestly why would you yell at someone and slam your hands on the table just because he doesn't get the job right at the first try?

Another thing, she always asks me what I am doing like even 2 minutes of staring on my computer she deliberately thinks that i was chilling. Always running to my table and asking what I am doing. And then when I ask her questions she gets irritated by me and harshly takes the paper from my hand. And one time when I ask a question just to clarify this work, she shouted at me. Haiyaa wanted to resign and walk out immediately but this job market is too tough. Hoping to find a better job with a better work environment and better boss.
